need information/ help

hey guys and gals, I was wondering if there was any way for me to get something to skin/paint some vehicles, like, a file or something, any info would be appreciated
 
Some vehicles will have a link to a PDN or PSD file to make custom skins, a lot of people recommend Paint.Net as the best free image editing software.
 
every time I try for a certain vehicle (Chevy 3100 streetrod) it srcews the model up so I have to re download it, that's when I use paint.net
 
All you're doing is replacing an image, the model itself should be affected. Are you trying to use a skinzip or overwrite the original texture?
