China is doing good ev because... They only know to how make ev. If you tell them to make ICE car, they suck. BYD's lineup in the 2000s, first and second car are ICE. Third one is an ev. Not to mentioned most cars made by chinese brands in the 90s-00s used out sourced engines from old Toyota, Mitsubishi engines.
