I don't think that's creepypasta, this game's origins and purpose are unknown. In addition to its eerie atmosphere (as you can see on both gameplay footages), it's one of the most mysterious video games ever.

All we know that this game was created ~2011-2013 (it was found in the same year) and is set in abandoned diamond mine in Siberia.

But why all of these mysterious/horror games always have .EXE, what is it used for?

Its'a "file format" of all video games, with no exceptions!

Also, that diamond mine in Siberia is prohibited, so you can forget about visiting station.exe location irl.
