Yes, it is. Apparently the '78s went to the amber park lenses but mine and this one both have clear ones and neither has been swapped out. The one above might be like mine, built late in '77 with old lenses and sold as a '78 anyway. I can only wish mine was/will ever be that clean. Undecided

Saw some decent stuff at a car show recently. Mostly mustangs but some other stuff too. Got a lot more photos but I'll stick to 3.

Loving that '32 ford. Finally one without the giant oversized torque thrusts. Period-correct. Love it. (Please tell me there isn't a 350 SBC in it.)

All stock under the hood. A few other fords were much more modified but I loved how clean that one was.

Another ford at the show with oversized torque thrusts because you mentioned them.

Even has the SBC 350 that screams "I'm too lazy to build a proper Ford motor."

Something I've only ever seen one of in my neck of the woods. Parked for 15 years for sale on craigslist...for 4k.

Love the Chaparral, always had. My friend always called it exactly what you did.

This is a newer one, but no less crazy. Chaparral 2X
