Hello,

I am using RoR 2020.01 on Linux and it doesn't detect my gamepads even though I have two gamepads plugged in USB and both are working in other games.

In the logs I see + Total JoySticks: 0.

Is there anything I could try?

I'm having the same problem. RoR installed as a snap package on Ubuntu 20.04. Version information:

Version Information: Rigs of Rods
version: 2020.01-dev-fae7586
protocol version: RoRnet_2.42
build time: 2020-01-21, 11:23

The problem is the same Martin has. The joystick does not show up in the log and even after configuring the input.map I cannot use it to control the vehicles.

Yeah I'm still having this issue as of today. Just like everyone else, I installed RoR using snap, and joysticks do not show up in the log, and I can confirm they are working in `evtest` and `jstest`.

Input device support in Linux has always been extremely limited. The device either isn't detected at all (like above) or the button mappings are completely different/broken from a Windows input map. The only code contributor we currently have who uses Linux isn't quite skilled enough (yet) to fix this issue, so unfortunately I don't think this will be solved any time soon.
