UI keeps gettting huge

so every time i turn off my laptop (whether its for an hour or a week) and then open ror again, the ui is huge, this never happened before with me,
for reference, i do not have fullscreen on, and input grab mode is off/ dynamic idk.
when i open ror then close it and open it later (without turning off said pc) the ui stays "normal"

well i mean its not huge, just weirdly disproportionate, i feel like im 80 with ts ui

so my question is (which my dumbahh forgot to ask) how the hell do i fix this

i am reinstalling my entire ror, this is annoying, both my copy of the 2022.12 and dev build have this issue, on top of that, mp instantly crashes

Please upload your RoR.log file from Documents\My Games\Rigs of Rods\logs.

ill try, eversince i got rid of onedrive from my pc this folder has been empty i realised, but ill see if i find it tommorow

If the folder is empty then the game isn't able to write to the Documents folder, which prevents the game from saving settings, mod cache, logs etc. First try checking if Controlled Folder Access has been enabled in Windows Security, if yes then disable it.

aha! that must be it, i might just aswell delete my ror then as i heard there was a new version

so ive done this, and you know started up ror loaded a map blahblahblah, and it didnt write anything there.

If the problem persists after ensuring Controlled Folder Access is disabled, check if your Windows profile name in C:\Users contains any special Unicode characters. If it does, you will need to follow one of the workarounds described here.

actually yes, my pc came with a good deal on norton lifelock, i had it for about 3 years and i cancelled it, but with every windows update it comes back and reinstalls the apps (even if i delete it) giving me constant popups begging me to get a subscription
