Solved cant connect my steering wheel

hey i need some help, after i re installed the game to get the updated verion i cant seem to use my steering wheel, i re made the mapping file for my steering again and i followed the instructions on the ror website perfectly and i still cant use my steering wheel. before saving the map file i made sure it had the correct name.
a question i have is while i was exporting the keymap file in the config folder the folder had only 2 files showing input.map and input-default.map. that was normal right? (now of course there are 3 files as i added my steering wheel file.)

im kind of desperate and i would really appreciate the help. thanks

The keymap is exported to Documents\My Games\Rigs of Rods\config, with the vendor filename you get from getdeviceinfo.exe.
