Unsolved Mouse not working in the game

This is my first post so I apologize if I'm breaking any rules.

As for my issue, about 75 percent of the time when I launch the game, I can't click any of the buttons in any of the menus. They don't even get highlighted when I hover mouse over them. I have tried running as administrator and even running in compatibility mode. I have uninstalled and reinstalled several times, and I've tried the dev builds, but nothing works.

Very odd..The game is failing to create the mouse:

21:38:47: Exception raised on mouse creation: Win32Mouse::Win32Mouse >> Failed to set format

Try the following:

• Browse to Documents\My Games\Rigs of Rods\config and open RoR.cfg
• Under the Input/Output section, you'll find Input Grab. Change it to Input Grab=Dynamically.
• Save the file and check if the issue persists.

Thank you for replying! While I will definitely try that, I've found that if I have an external mouse plugged in before I launch the game, it will work normally.


EDIT: I tried that and now the mouse doesn't even show up.
