What is Jinkela?
Jinkela（金坷垃）is a fertiliser additive brand marketed by a company named American Shengdiyage, purported to double wheat yield by ultilising leeched nutrients 2 metres below the surface. Mainstream media have since refuted the theory as unproven and non-scientific. One ad which made it an internet meme featured exaggerated acting involving characters from Japan, Africa and America competing for the product. Tons of memes were later created like this for example.
