Some mod authors never added ropable nodes or collisions to their vehicles, it's not an issue with RoR at all. You can add these things yourself if you take the time to read and understand the docs: https://docs.rigsofrods.org/

If you're using a dev build such as RC4, you can use the extra mod path setting in RoR.cfg.

0.39 and previous versions use a different terrain system than 0.4+, the toolkit is made for the old terrain system, and is unsupported.
