If you are not comfortable using the mouse to move the camera, you can use the numpad keys https://docs.rigsofrods.org/gameplay/controls-config/#camera

If that isn't working, make sure your numlock is on

Removing the right click requirement would prevent you from dragging nodes and interacting with UI elements. Just use the numpad keys instead.
