Does your Mac have USB A ports or is it only USBC? If it's USBC only, you need to get a dongle from A to C for most wheels to work. Theoretically, all steering wheels compatible with PC should work under Mac WINE (Whiskey is based on it). WINE should detect the wheel as something, or just passthrough straight to the game. I've only tested this on my Moza R3 on Linux, but I did get full force feedback and all buttons on BeamNG. Haven't tested on RoR though. To configure the controls, use this tool.
When buying a wheel, I recommend physically going to the seller and testing the wheel yourself to make sure it works
