Hi all, *updates here* > > > *download here* < < <
You may have seen this one in random screenshots on the forum or discord, over the past 2 years.
This is my first decent vehicle mod for RoR, so don't get your hopes up. Treat this as more of a demo for texturedashboard, materialflarebindings and flares3 because that's what I've put the most effort into.
It's a submeshed mod, meaning the body is made of textured submesh, shaped by the node-and-beam structure. That means it has no mesh (3d model) and doesn't deform realistically.
Here is what I have so far:
In four versions, for now:
It will come with a custom texturedashboard interior dash and on-screen gui hud:
You may recognize the on-screen gui hud as Flat-black Analog Gauges which you can download and use for RoR already. These may change slightly to suit the car better, and to add the new dashlights for sidelights/low-beam/high-beam/foglights
The symbols for those were made by me, by hand, to seamlessly fit with the ones I made previously.
I decided to make use of the new dashlights and flare types that were introduced recently, meaning you get full sidelights/low-beam/high-beam/foglights with their respective dashboard indicator lights.
Because this is a new feature (which introduced new keyboard shortcuts) and because the vehicle has no hydraulics or commands to list, I decided to list the controls for the lights in the help screen:
The interior will use the seats that come with RoR (the ones from the early, submeshed vehicles) but with some custom textures. Custom steering wheel. The dashboard is submeshed- the vents and switches are painted on.Though, there is a possibility I will add prop mesh switches with add_animation, so they move when you toggle lights and such. I have since added mesh switches with animations and animated stalks for turn signals/highbeams/etc
I've already been experimenting with using materialflarebindings to "animate" the switches, so I may do that instead:
I am in the process of addingmaterialflarebindings for all the lights, we'll see how that goes:
I haven't found a good place for it yet, but I decided to go with a horizontal autogear indicator, just because I haven't seen it done before:
I probably won't be able to use that custom font with it, it would require the player to manually add it to their dashboards.zip - it's not worth it.
Enough exciting features, now the disappointing things. This is what it looks like without the submesh:
- It really is just a crappy node-and-beam vehicle. It handles and drives awfully, too. Yes, the lightbar is node-and-beam also - I still refuse to touch blender, sorry.
- That cool-ish looking gui hud is being scrapped in favor of the Flat-black Analog Gauges. Sorry. No more fake oil+temp gauges.
More to come later.

Rarest and never before seen of mods
I present to you, one of the mods ever made of all time:
Crafted carefully, with tons of effort, care and time, by a Professional, Certified notepad+mspaint PRO
I present, Cardboard Box on Wheels!! (that looks kind of like a polonez maybe)
Comes in 4 versions (all are equally bad)
Features & Flaws
- drives bad, really bad, not fun to drive, it's bad.
- "deformable" if you hit really hard
- cursed inverse body-mounted suspension
- unrealistic weight, power and drivetrail
- png wheels
- seats, steering wheel borrowed from RoR, seats stick out of the bottom of the vehicle.
+ incandescent somewhat realistic custom flares3
+ all lights the real car has (except interior) e.g. foglights, low beam, dipped, high beam, etc
+ custom guisettings texturedashboard interior dash (Police version only)
+ a beige parcel shelf!
+ very poor custom hud/gui
+ non-working node-and-beam mirrors! no they are not a prop, they are node and beam
+ szerszeń comes with its wing/spoiler now
New flares have been approved by mint himself:
Dash lights custom made by hand (no you can't use them for your GUI, YES I WILL KNOW >:c)
While developing this mod, I made sure to put an even amount of effort into all aspects of it so it would be an all-around good, enjoyable mod
The interior dash (thank you @CuriousMike for help with this)
Don't forget to leave milk and cookies for your mechanic
FAKE PNG VENT FOR IMPOSTORS (and fake switches, Police version only)
Axolotl warning light (Police version only):

WHAT DOES "SUBMESHED" MEAN? WHY DOES THE CAR LOOK LIKE ASS??
I hear youask shout, so let me explain:
It is a SUBMESHED mod, meaning it has no mesh/3d model, it is a "cardboard" car and will never look as good as a meshed one.
Enjoy it for what it is, or make a better one by yourself for me to enjoy, too!
