questions about the default steering wheel

so i have some questions about the default steering wheel in rigs of rods. its the steering wheel that is a 4 spoke grey steering wheel with RoR logo on it. some mods (1st gen dodge, chevy g20, etc) use this wheel.

where is the location of this wheel in the programs files?
can i replace the wheel with a different 3d model?
and can you put animations on the wheel?




id post a picture of it but snipping tool wont open when anything that uses over half of the system resources is running
 
ok never mind those questions, i found the file,its not a 3d model, but an image, just when i replace it with any image. no matter if its a picture of the wheel i want to use of an image that a doodled, it doesnt show up in the game. i cant figure out why. any help would be appreciated
 
i figured out how to make the wheel to show up, there WAS a buried 3d model. but the wheel is white even though the texture file for it is blank black, which is the way i want the wheel to be. anyone have any idea?
 
adding a texture file isnt all you have to do... you have to add in a material file with the material name of the mesh with the texture assigned to it...
